GeniotekFACTORY ASSESSMENT / EXAMPLE

From evidence to decision.

Illustrative example, not a completed audit.

Proposed review areas: capability, quality system, production fit, environmental & labor conditions. Scoring criteria to be agreed.

Example / verification needed

Confirm the tool fits the intended machine.

Finding
Machine compatibility has not yet been demonstrated for the proposed tooling.
Evidence
Review machine specifications against the tool dimensions and process requirements.
Product impact
A mismatch could require a tooling change or a different production setup.
Next step
Obtain a documented compatibility check before committing to tooling.

Assessment limits matter. Missing records and inaccessible processes should remain visible in the report.

Factory evaluation, batch inspection, and ongoing production support serve different decisions.

Quoted against your scope.

Visit and audit fees depend on the agreed requirements and location. You receive a quotation before engagement.

Factory evaluation

A capability visit or full audit to assess a candidate manufacturer. Sample and prototype rounds are outside this evaluation scope.

On-site quality control

Inspection execution and reporting against an established QC plan. This is a separate service from factory qualification.

Engineering & production support

Root-cause resolution, process improvement, corrective strategy, and ongoing production management require a separate scope.

A defined view of the factory

An audit reflects the evidence available during the assessment. It does not guarantee every future production batch or confer certification.

Can you assess a factory I already found?

Factory visits and full audits are available independently. Share your candidate’s location and product requirements so we can confirm scope and access.

Do I need a visit or a full audit?

A half-day capability visit is the lighter option for an early candidate review. A full audit is the deeper evaluation of a finalist, including a scoring report.

What does the scoring report include?

The quotation specifies a scoring report for a full audit. The example above shows a proposed structure. Actual criteria, scoring method, report contents, and delivery timing are agreed before engagement.

Where can you arrange factory assessments?

Geniotek’s manufacturing operations are based in Dongguan, with partner factory coverage in the Greater Bay Area. Share the exact location so we can confirm availability and travel requirements.

What if the factory restricts access?

Access requirements are agreed before the visit. Any restricted area or unavailable record should be recorded as an assessment limit. Further verification may be needed before a decision.

What happens if the audit identifies issues?

Review the findings before deciding how to proceed. Follow-up verification, corrective work, trial production, and ongoing engineering support are scoped separately.
