WHY ENGINEERING EARLY

To Keep Product Development Time and Cost Under Control, Bring Engineering In Early.

⌄Scroll

Without early engineering,
a small issue can grow.

The risk can move from Small Issue to Tool Change to Another Sample and lead to Delay + Cost. A small issue can have a big impact.

Bring engineering in early.

Early engineering keeps decisions in the design stage, where they are faster, easier and less expensive to solve.

See why a design needs to change.

Before a product decision becomes a tooling decision, we show what needs to change and why.

□   DECISION NOTE / ILLUSTRATIVE

A decision explained clearly

IssueA local connection does not leave enough clearance for assembly.
RecommendationAdjust the interface geometry before defining the next prototype.
ReasonThe change keeps the intended form while reducing an avoidable fit risk.
StatusIllustrative only. Not an approved record.

We explain the recommendation and the tradeoff in plain language. You decide on the product direction.

First step

Four questions to start with.

We look for unknowns that could change the design, cost, or next prototype.

01Can the idea work?
02Can it be made and assembled?
03Does it fit the target cost?
04What should the next prototype prove?

If we find a reason to change direction—or stop—we explain why.

FAQ

How much does product development cost?

It is quoted by scope. Prototype fabrication costs are stated separately in the quote.

Do I need CAD before contacting you?

No. An idea, sketch, reference image or rough prototype can be enough to start the conversation.

How long will development take?

Timing depends on the engineering work, prototype rounds and testing needed for your scope.

What if the idea is not feasible?

We explain the constraint and the options, including changing direction or stopping before more work is committed.

What if the product also needs software or firmware?

Software and firmware are outside this page’s stated scope and need separate expertise.
