Meet the Founder
He Learned to Find Footing in Uncertainty.
Later, That Became the Way Geniotek Works.
Jase Lee comes from a mechanical engineering background. He spent years studying in the UK, founded an optical factory himself, and has been involved in the full path of bringing DTC consumer products from development to mass-production delivery.
Those experiences taught him early that the distance between a good idea and a product that can ship reliably is not just one drawing or one prototype. It is structure, materials, process, BOM decisions, supplier communication, pilot-run issues, and a long series of practical trade-offs. Having loved woodworking and invention since childhood, Jase has always had a close instinct for how drawings become real objects.
Geniotek sits in that distance.
When a mechanical engineer and an industrial designer are stuck on a drawing, Jase can help the team find a compromise that protects the product intent while still making the design manufacturable. When a supplier quotes an unusually high tooling cost, he can judge whether the issue may come from drawing details, process choices, structural complexity, or the supplier’s own pricing strategy. When a founder has an early prototype that barely works and is unsure what to validate next, he helps identify the priority most likely to reduce risk.
Geniotek is not a consulting firm that only gives advice and avoids the physical work. It is closer to an execution partner, helping teams turn stuck hardware problems into concrete next actions.
That judgment comes from real project experience, but also from habits Jase has built over time. When he records music, he repeats a part until the sound and feeling are right. When he climbs, he can spend two days on the same V4 route, watching how others solve the crux before trying again himself. He once wrote, “The more you fall, the bigger the excitement when it’s achieved.” That line also explains one of his working beliefs in product development: the problem itself is not the issue; what matters is whether each failed attempt makes the next step clearer.
Geniotek is best suited for teams serious about bringing a product to market and willing to face the engineering and manufacturing realities behind that ambition.
Whether you are a hardware founder, consumer brand, or design studio with a concept, industrial design, or early prototype, Geniotek helps move the project toward something more testable, more manufacturable, and closer to delivery.
Geniotek exists to make each month and each dollar spent on iteration move the project forward: toward a better prototype, a clearer supplier conversation, and a more precise next step.
